Thing22, conference

I attended the annual West Virginia Statewide Technology Conference " The Cloud" at the Charleston Civic Center in Charleston, West Virginia on August 3-5 2010. It was an exciting four days that I spent in Charleston. We had several days of training that ways available to us and some was useful while others seemed to be sales pitches. We had fun getting acquainted with TIS members and working on assignments for the session. I did not go to the capitol tour and I am sad that I missed it. Everyone talked about how nice the event was. I sure will attend it next year if the opportunity is presented. We had several guest speakers and the one that sticks out in my mind was Sean Tuohy. His story was written in a movie entitled "Blindside" I enjoy listening to his inspirational speech of how important it was to consider kids like Michael Oher and how they are falling through the cracks every day? And how can we make an impact big enough to change a broken system? I am looking forward to attending the conference again next year.
